Congress on your back

Here is an interesting bit to think about. Rep. Giffords is holding a town hall -
Giffords holding 4th “Congress on Your Corner” this SaturdayApril 30th, 2007
Gabrielle Giffords will host her fourth “Congress on Your Corner” event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday May 5, at Safeway, 12122 N. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., in Oro Valley. These sessions allow for a 3- to 5-minute open discussion with the representative.
Notice the title, congress on your corner? Pretty neat, huh? The Democrats go all out to see that her town halls are well attended. Makes for good press, that way. And at her town halls, a reader writes, Hi Jim, I went to the one she had here a couple of weeks ago on Harrison and Golf Links Rd. I got there a bit after the start of it and the line was long. I spent 2 plus hours waiting in line. So...You might want to suggest to your readers that they get there early, before it starts, so they can get in the front of the line. Walter

And, here is another meeting that should be well attended:
This Saturday, May 5, 2007 is the Pima County Republican Party All-DistrictMeeting At the Randolph Park Hotel (formerly Clarion Hotel), 102 N. Alvernon(north of Broadway)8-9:00 a.m. Coffee, Meet and Greet9:00 a.m. Meeting

In Pima County, there are 270 precincts in Congressional District 8. After those people leave their meeting at the Randolph Park Hotel, they should all pay there respects to their congresswoman over in Oro Valley. They could ask her question about some STRIVE details, or how about the largest tax hike in history vote, or why she undercut the president, or her thoughts on the Employee Free Choice Act that Rep. Shadegg called, "one of the most un-American pieces of legislation ever." She might just enjoy seeing a few Republicans show up.
