The article in the Sierra Vista Herald, 30 May 2007, titled, "Giffords to make stops around Cochise County today" smacks of promotion of Giffords by the Herald. http://www.svherald.com/articles/2007/05/30/news/doc465d14208ec71356303458.txt Consider, the article said, "U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will be joined here by more than 40 government and law enforcement officials from the United States and Mexico today at the congresswoman’s first Binational Border Security Summit." Consider, what if the article had said, Giffords joins more than 40 government -- etc."? This article makes folks like the Chief of the Tucson Sector, Police Chiefs, Mayors, etc. subservient to our elected Representative. Did she call the meeting??
The article says, "The two-hour summit begins at 1 p.m. at the Douglas Visitors Center, 345 16th St. The goals of the summit are to determine ways in which the United States and Mexico can work together to address violence and immigration issues." Is she going to be conducting the meeting? Oh , and she is "Also, Giffords will speak to the Cochise County EMS and Fire Association at 10 a.m. at the fire station at 4817 S. Apache in Sierra Vista." Why is this that this was published the day it is to happen with no fore notice? Could it be that the whole Democrat organization in Cochise County knew?
With the newspapers on her side and her war chest, she's going to be hard to beat unless we can get the public informed about her disastrous voting record.
